the study of three cities Allahabad, Kanpur and Varanasi.

states-- Uttrakhand, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

I joined the organisation in 1987 as a senior reporter and gradually elevated to
the next higher positions as Chief Reporter, Principal Correspondent, Special Correspondent,
Assistant Editor and finally as Political Editor.
All these years, I have covered UP and several national events extensively. But
my specialisation has been in covering political development, socio-economic trends,
state administration, bureaucracy, economy and planning besides issues related to
development importance with analytical approach.

Supervision, Planning and Commissioning research work. In the month of August 2013,
I had gone to US to take part in a Farm Progress show. This is the world's biggest
event to focus attention on global food security. The show was held at Chicago and
Washington in USA from August 25 to August 31, 2013.
I was also nominated as member of the Patrakar Bandhu, formulated by the UP government
in 2000. Apart from this, I also headed many social organisations and engaged in
various social activities.
In 1987, I visited the then USSR, Bulgaria, Greece and several neighboring countries,
also attended the farm progress show in US in 2013.
I began my journalistic career with the English daily National Herald in 1980 as
a trainee reporter and worked with it for six years and during this period, I was
promoted to higher position as a senior reporter and then as deputy chief reports.
Thereafter, I left for USSR in 1986.
I joined The Times of India in 1987 and continue with it till January 2 nd , 2014.
My last designation was Political Editor.
